On Tuesday, April 1, 2025, members of the United to House LA (UHLA) Coalition hosted a press conference to mark the two-year anniversary of Measure ULA. Dozens of community members and advocates gathered at 316 North Juanita Avenue, where 177 union-built, ULA-funded, affordable homes are currently under construction and are set to open in June.

This two-year anniversary of Measure ULA celebrates $650 million accrued for the eleven programs. In two years, Measure ULA has kept 11,000 people housed through the rental assistance program, built 800 new affordable homes, created 10,000 union construction jobs, and educated over 100,000 LA renters on their rights. April 1st also marks a success for ULA dollars with the City Council vote to codify Right to Counsel, a campaign led by the ULA-supported Stay Housed LA coalition.
